Friday Sketchers and Just Magnolia

I made this card using Tanja's sketch over at Friday Sketcher's and paired it with Edwin sledding for the "anything goes" challenge over at Just Magnolia.
I love the bright vivid non-traditional colors of this MME "Colorful Christmas" collection. I'll reach for it again and again....

Fall is in the air...

Ahh...I LOVE Fall...Its in the air today...that cool crisp feeling that makes ya want to put some cider on to simmer and throw on a sweater. I love sweater weather! Its my most favorite time of the year! My boys spent the weekend out side playing football, its the quietest this house has been in months.
During the heat of the summer they would only last an hour outside at max.
Its been awesome hearing them play together..little boy laughter is contagious!

Anyway..I made up a card with the cutey little girl with pumpkin designed by Heather Ellis. And if you want to pick up your own digi of this stamp you can find them HERE
DP: Fancy Pants
Die: Sizzix, Tim Holtz
Argyle texture plate: Cuttlebug
Hat Pin: Maya Road

Also you should know that Wild Orchid Crafts has recently lowered their prices, as well as shipping, to the US..so if you've been holding out on buying these gorgeous Mulberry flowers,  nows the time to dive in!

And on another note..my E000 copic went dry, boohoo!  So I have ordered a refill..just have to wait for it to make its way to me. I just cannot bring myself to color another face without it :(

Heather Ellis digi Christmas cards...

Ok..so this little project took about 6hours longer than I expected it to take, :0)..
but alas I have finally finished up another batch of Christmas cards!
I have used a digi stamp by Heather Ellis. I love this little image, so cute and whimsical...She is colored with copics with a little Stickles and Flower Soft "snow" added in. OK..so I really really wanted to color those mistletoe berries red! I know they are green and stuck with green..but they were just begging for red..lol..
Papers are from My Mind's Eye.."Colorful Christmas", I adore this collection and just bought another set (just in case I run low and decide to hoard some, lol)
And check out the ticket stub!  Isn't it FAB!!  It came from Bizzy Becs and you should head on over to the store to check out the Halloween ticket stubs..so cute!

Anywhooo...It's World Card Making Day weekend..so happy card making!

hugs,T

A few Christmas cards

This is a non traditional Christmas card I made up for a swap..this is one of my very favorite Whiff of Joy stamps!  I adore the little gnome looking figures designed by Norma Fickle. So cute! I have colored her with copics and paired her with some Scenic Route paper snips to bring out the blues and greens. The seam binding I hand dyed myself..ROFL..it was my first attempt, lol!

Here we have a cute little hedgie Penny Black stamp..who doesn't love Hedge Hogs ?!? And I'm really liking lollipop flowers too..

I had to control my urge to embellish..some people like flat cards for mailing purposes so I try to hold back the chunky embellies when doing swaps..man is it ever hard!!

School is back in action...woohooo!

OK..I have a few mixed emotions about my little guys going back to school. I love having them home, having the freedom to jump in the vehicle and go out of town for a few days...spending time together at the lake, Gatlinburg, the beach...   but on the other hand...its also very nice to have a few hours to myself to shop in peace, watch TV..(which I haven't done in weeks)..and to actually go in my scrapbook room..lol!

Anyway..I wanted to share with you a few Halloweeny cards I made up for a swap. I love this Pink Paislee paper. Bad photo lighting I know..sorry!  I snapped a quick shot of them before I stuck them in the mail. FAll is just around the corner..I'm SOO excited..Love love Fall!

Maine trip photos...

I had the most awesome time in Maine..it was absolutely beautiful there!  I love the little fishing villages, a photographers dream!!  So quaint and vintage looking..just like I imagined it...Here are some pics I took along my journey up the coast.  Kennebunkport and BarHarbor were two of my fave spots, I'll have to take another  longer trip to spend more time there next time.

A few photos to share...

Only one layout to share, these are the kids learning how to play cards while at the lake camping..lol!

Then I wanted to share a couple pictures of the mountains where I live. They are beautiful and green this time of year.  I live in such a beautiful area..the Smokey Mountains are absolutely stunning..but yet we are always wanting to go long distances to see beautiful places, forgetting that it is so beautiful right where we are...

Next week we hope to travel to Maine. I've always wanted to see the rugged coast line of Maine..the lighthouses, the fishing villages, the vintage looking towns. ahhh...can't wait!  Its a 21 hr. drive for us but
we wanted to make it a road trip and stop a few places along the way.  I'll be taking tons of photos along the way ;0)

Playing catch up with some photos...

Ok so I'm way way behind on my pictures. They are stacking up fast and I'm at least a year behind..more like 2 realistically.  We planned to go camping with my Brother and SIL for a few days but got rained out. So we hung out at their house watching movies and just spending some family time together. He doesn't have Wi-Fi so while the boys were playing I spent a little time catching up on some pages.  I used digi kits and a couple templates  from The Shabby Shoppe ..I love this shop!  So if you've never designed a digi layout..I encourage you to give it a try!  I'm working towards 30 layouts so that I can make them into a book for Christmas presents.  Wish me luck ;0)
