Its a Go Green Challenge over at Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog. I used a paper towel roll covered in pattern paper to design a little holder for some vintage embellishments. Easy Peasy and all GREEN!!
So here I am at week 12 already..I honestly am amazed I've made it this far with my crazy busy work
schedule and baseball..soo exciting! And I've used up more stash these last couple months than I have used in years..literally! And that is the most exciting part of it all..getting all those hoarded goodies in to albums. Not so sure that my boys will appreciate all my efforts when they are older, but its great memories for myself. I love how you can look at a picture and it brings you right back to the day it was taken. This week was all about flowers, and since we only have boys..I have used a couple photos of our Lanie...she is my "borrowed" daughter and we love her so much! Her and her sister Janie belong to my best friend and we love them just like they were our own.
I have used papers from the Basic Grey Lemonade collection along with the coordinating transparency for her name. Lollipop flowers handmade by me with little scraps of matching fabrics and sheers. Now that I'm looking at the photo..I wish I had moved the smaller picture over a little because it totally hides the decorative cut edge of the paper behind it. ..darn!
Hope you are having a great weekend! Its off to bed for me for another long work day tomorrow!
Today I've dipped into my Crate paper stash for this layout and was able to use a tag I previously designed..it was begging for a home and thought it would go great with this weeks sketch. I love this black and white photo of River Street...historic part of Savannah. My heart longs for Savannah..have to go back soon!!
And I'm even getting it posted to my blog in a timely fashion, lol.. Here is week 10 sketch... I have used some Fancy Pants for this layout..this is from an older kit "Daily Grind" that I've been hoarding. Woohoo! Love that I'm using up my paper stashes, how exciting!!
Wishing everyone a glorious Easter day! Hope everyone has a little time today to spend with a loved one and be ever grateful for the gift of eternity given to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!
Its sping break in the Rogers household :) that means no getting up at the crack of dawn to get the boys ready for school..ahhh... We had big plans to go somewhere exciting for break, I was hoping for Savannah (LOVE Savannah!) But my vehicle had other plans and decided to cost me $2100 in repairs, so there went my spring break :( But Summer break is just around the corner and we have a cruise planned for May with my bestie and her family, and my lil sis and her family..woohooo! Besides..sometimes a little QT around the house is the best medicine for stress. Tomorrow we have a hike planned ..we are hiking to take some waterfall pics. LOVE IT!
So while Savannah was on my mind, I picked out a few pics from our last trip to Savannah and Tybee Island for this layout. I really like this sketch!
A little about myself..I'm T short for Teresa..I have been married for almost 10 years, hubby's name is Shaun. We have two little rascals, Jacob and Jeremy that are my inspiration for scrapbooking. We live in the beautiful historic Chattanooga,TN!! This hobby has became a great love for me~ I finished my first real scrapbook when my son was born but I have always enjoyed paper crafting. Everyone asks what is your scrapbook style? And I don't really have a particular style..I just go with what the picture is telling me. Hope you enjoy looking at my creations. ~hugs,T
