My beach trip....

Being that my life is one big adventure...vacation is no different! I got jelly fish stung twice. Shaun caught flipper while deep sea fishing and almost got jerked out of the boat. The beach was closed to swimmers most of the week because of so many drownings from riptides, so we decided to go exploring..now that was an adventure all by itself! But we had a wonderful time with all our family and we were all sad for it to be over. Here are a few pics to share. hugs,T

Heidi rocks!!

I just love Heidi..she sent me the most awesome prizes and RAKs! What a wonderful surprise after a rotten day! For those of you know me, know that I am prone to bad luck..I've become use to it lately..haha...and tonight I drove almost 2hrs. home from work to find that I was locked out (I live in TN and work in NC).. Hubby had to work late and he had my key because my BIL and SIL have the spare. Thank goodness for them..they met me 1/2 way to get the spare...
Back to my RAK..Heidi is amazing and knows exactly the kind of stuff I love! We are so alike in our styles that she sent me (without even knowing)some paper I have been looking for..WE R Memory keepers Promenade!! How awesome is that! I won a blog challenge she had going, as well as a points challenge on her group and she sent some RAKs as well, so I received all kinds of goodies!
clear skittles, a rainbow of colored stardust pens I've been lusting over (haha!), Tombow refill, some blingy fourishes (love these!), and two rolls of ribbon to match the pattern paper!! How awesome is that!! Love you Heidi!! Go check her out at www.luckybugcreations.blogspot.com

a scrappy wall hanging

It was my Gran's birthday and I made up this cute little wall hanging of the boys for them to give to her. It was super easy! I took an 8.5" x 11" piece of chipboard and covered it with cardstock. Use coordinating PP to embellish the sides, add photo's and those cute little Heidi Swapp photo corners, add some stickers and chipboard letters for embellishment (I used boy 97% complete stickers from 7 gypsies and MM chipboard "boy" letters) When you are happy with the results~ use your handy dandy hole punch and hammer (in your tool kit) and punch two holes in the top for hanging your ribbon. I used 3 Bugs in a Rug designer brads "Seeing Stars" to attach my ribbon knots through the hole. Hope you like!

Well..I'm back from vacation

We had a wonderful 5 days at the beach with our friends.. the weather was wonderful, the water was perfect and the pina colada's were yummy! haha! Have to share some pics..

Fall Card fronts

Well, I've been playing catch up a little...organizing my room..cleaning..organizing some more..seems that part is never ending! But I did get something crafty done~ I stamped up these little bears playing in the leaves and made some fall card fronts for a swap coming up. The object of the card front swap is to design just the front on a piece of cardstock. I keep mine in a little deco box and when I need, say a bday card..I pull out a bday card front and adhere it to the front of a card base...easy peasy! Allie gave me this idea awhile back, I think its great! Cheaper shipping when doing swaps and takes up less room in your card storage.

Christmas in May, ROFL!!

Well, its no wonder I can't get my scraproom organized...everytime I start on one end and before I get halfway across the counter, I find something that needs immediate attention. Well, tonight I found this cute pic of Jacob at his little polar express party at school. It was stuck in with some Christmas embellishments that I was going through awhile back. Yes..its that messy! haha! So, I had this partially done page with this awesome Rhonna Christmas paper (she makes the best swirly flourishes!!) So, I finished it up tonight..better late than never I guess. hee hee! Have a wonderful holiday weekend wherever you are~ I'll be heading to my SIL's family lake house to spend with Hubby and his family tomorrow night. Can't wait for a nice relaxing time. hugs,T

EK success corner rounder

Woohooo...I'm finally getting to play with my new EK success corner rounder, I love this little thing! I saw a tutorial a while back on doing your own scallop edges. You use this little darling. All you need to do is remove the edge attachment, turn it upside down and start punching. I couldn't wait to play with it so I practiced on this card for my nephew Josh who just turned 16. Notice how nice and crisp the scallop cuts are. I'm going give it a whirl with a circle next. I know my cricut cuts scallop circles but I love the large deep scallops.

Blackboard mini album pages..

Hooray, I finally finished up two more pages in my Summer mini album. I'm going for the beach theme. I'm using papers and embellishments from the Grafton line of Scenic Route..love it!

Ok, I have in my hands a new blackboard mini book...I love it! I love scallops, I love the black, I love the size..its just perfect! So, I started on the front page today and I've decided to use this one for a mini summer album. The large flourish stamps by Fancy Pants works great on these with a little white embossing powder.

Overlays...

I was looking through my pics and found this layout using an overlay..ya gotta love these things! I think this one is from Autumn leaves because I recognize those Rhonna flourishes..she does the best flourishes! All you do is add a couple pics..a few embellishments and you have an instant layout...perfect!

Cosmo Cricket altered clock....

Isn't it amazing how when you go to the store you start visualizing how certain things will look altered, haha! I found this round wooden clock that originally had a rooster on it..it was begging to be transformed.

Step 1: sand off rooster

Step 2: paint entire surface with sage green paint

Step 3: grunge it a little with a brown paint leaving just a little bit of the numbers showing

Step 4: use your pattern papers, die cuts, and rhinestones to add a little spunk to the background.

I used Cosmo Cricket "Fleuriste" papers and die cuts.

This little creation is going to Croppinsville USA ~ Allie needs a clock don'tcha think?!
