More Card fronts

A couple more card fronts to share. Believe it or not this stamp is an old Stampin up Stamp from 11 years ago.  I didn't realize how long I've been stamping..haha!  I had to dig it out from the bottom of a drawer of stamps...and it still stamps perfectly!   Background sheet music is stamped with Versamark to give it a nice watermark look..love that inkpad..I use it to pieces!  And what a great way to make your own matching pattern paper ;0)  I've threaded some vintage crochet lace with matching ribbon and fastened to card with my new fave tool..Tim Holtz tiny fastener.  Its awesome!

Card fronts

Just wanted to share some card fronts I've been working on. This stamp is an older Penny Black, I just love it and had a really hard time finding it!  I finally found it Here, and if you are a Penny Black fan..I would encourage you to head on over and check out this site.  You'll find tons of the older Penny Black stamps!!  This stamp is so much fun to color! I dressed him in yellows and blues and matched him up with some Crate paper I love.

Some Hanglar love...

I have to send lots of love out to my sweet friend Lim, she sent me a surprise package a couple weeks ago and I almost passed out cold when I opened it!!  Inside were 2 of my most prized possessions..2 very precious Hanglar stamps..I know, Its very very exciting! She also sent me a Maggie and a stack of images. So thank you sweet friend for your thoughtfulness!  You should also head over to her blog if you haven't been..she is so very talented! Lim's blog

I made this card with one of the images she sent..he's so precious!
I am entering this card in the Lovely Hanglar Only challenge blog, the new theme is Shabby-Look!

Wow..its been a LONG time!

Wow..I can't believe how long its been since I've last posted! Its been forever!!  Its been a crazy busy last few months for us.  Hubby got sick and was in the hospital for a week, we postponed a bunch of his tests so that we could go on our cruise that had been booked and paid for several months prior.  We went to Cozumel and Grand Cayman and it was awesome and much needed! But upon our return..hectic life set in once again with lots of tests in which we are still going through. But he goes for his pill camera tomorrow and maybe we will finally have some answers.  Anyways on a brighter note..I have some cards to post that I had been working on prior to disaster hitting, lol!  They are Easter cards..and while I know Easter has been long gone, I found these cutey little vintage images and I couldn't wait an entire year to play with them. Soo..I'm a little ahead for next year, hahaha!  The first picture is a close up of the crackle paint and distress ink..doesn't show very well with the light reflecting..Sorry!!

I LOVE these vintage book binding ribbons..they are hand dyed.  I found them
HERE at This Good Day Etsy store. I have to thank the awe inspiring Melissa Phillips for the link..they are stunning and come in an array of colors!

And a couple cruise pics to share...

Happy Birthday Melissa!

Its my friend Melissa's birthday (Happy Birthday Melissa!!)  I made her this happy card..hope it makes it in time!  Once again I used a digi kit from The Shabby Shoppe for the DP's.  Love the soft colors in this kit..reminds me of warm summer days at the beach, can't wait for Summer vacation!!   I used this cutey Tilda dressed as a ladybug. She's colored with copics.

A few Easter cards..

I absolutely LOVE this baby bunny Tilda Maggie..isn't she sooo cute! She didn't make it 10 minutes out of the package before getting all inked up, lol!   I made up these Easter cards with her..and even though it killed me,..I didn't add any embellishments because they are going postal and lumpy cards with my buttons and big flowers have a hard time making their destination in ample time and I need these to be speedy, ROFL!  I'm usually all about the embellishments~ I LOVE embellishments!  Flowers, buttons, pins, ribbons..ahhhh! Its very difficult for me to make a card without using them so these cards look very plain to me..but I hope the recipients will enjoy them just the same :0)  For my DP's I have used digi papers from The Shabby Shoppe  printed to just the right size and cut out.  I have found this to be a wonderful cure for my paper hoarding habit, haha!  I have a terrible time using the last sheet of my favorite patterns..which has turned into an entire shelf of favorite patterns!  So while I'm trying to kick the habit, I found these beautiful digi papers that I can use over and over again..don't laugh, I know you have the same disease as I, lol!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend!  My boys have spring break next week, but I am working all but 2 days..sooo...hubby and I cheated and took them out of school for a couple days.  We went to Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge on Sunday and just returned this evening.  We had a wonderful time!  We took the boys to MagiQuest and I think we had just as much fun as they did running around with our little wands trying to find clues and secret passage ways and hidden treasures, lol!  We played mini golf, laser challenge and mirror maze.  Mirror maze  was the most fun we've had in ages...we were stuck in there FOREVER trying to find our way out, it was hilarious!  And my little Jeremy almost knocked himself out trying to run to me when he got lost and ran smack into a mirror (which was my reflection) and I couldn't figure out how to get to him when he was laid out on the floor..that wasn't so hilarious, lol...but despite the small crisis..we had a blast!

Happy Easter, where ever you are!

simple birthday cards..

Made up these Bday cards for my stash. I used the Cricut Home Accents cartridge for the pear with BG designer paper. I wanted a clean fresh look so I used some Kraft Bazzill as my base.  They didn't turn out exactly as I envisioned them..but they will do ;0)  in a pinch.

St. Patrick's Day cards..

A couple more St. Patty's Day cards to share...trying to use up some scraps of the Rusty Pickle "Lucky" collection.  Images colored with Copics.  Have a great day!

St. Patty's day card...

Just a simple little St. Patty's day card..kept it simple so that I could mail it without much bulk. I did add some pearls to the scallop edge to add a little something, it was just too plain for me otherwise ;)  I'm not doing a very good job at keeping to my 365 goal this year, lol..I'm about 25 behind..haha..I better get busy!  Hope you have a great weekend!
