It was a wonderful line up with Jason Michael Carroll, Keith Anderson, Kellie Pickler, Little Big Town, and Rascal Flatts.  We had really really good seats, it was awesome!  Soo..I just wanted to share some pics.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

To be honest..I've never really had the patience for crocheting...I love the little crochet flowers, but mostly I hit my friend Linda up for those, lol..she's great at making them!  But as I was making this card I thought it needed a little something, something to go on top the heart...sooo...I crocheted this little round thing  to poke my pin in, ROFL..pitiful I know!  But at least I made an attempt, haha!  The Moda fabric was begging to be cut into a heart and stitched..so that's what I did. The photograph is terrible I know..the lighting inside today isn't much to speak of...I apologize!

Crazy weather here in TN

Well, I had all these intentions to make up a few Valentines today...last minute, to get them in the mail to all my girlies..but sadly, the weather went crazy (yet again) and it started snowing (yet again).  Soo...hubby had to go in to work early to beat the big freeze, and I didn't get a thing accomplished! The weather has been really strange here in TN lately. It has snowed the last 4 weekends...up until then I can only remember 1 or 2 snows in the last 10 years!! What is going on here???! I do have one little Valentine to post tomorrow.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

She's colored with copics.  Butterflies were punched from text paper sprayed with Glimmer Mist..with a few pearls added.  The Mulberry rose I purchased from The Mulberry Bear, I absolutely love those flowers!!  All other items came from a  Making Memories kit..vintage finds. Wish I had more of the Adore Bingo cards, are they lovely!

Sugarbowl~ Marlene's sketch

Here's my take on Marlene's sketch. I love this stamp and reach for it again and again..it is very versatile and can be used for just about any theme or holiday. She is called "Demure" by Elisabeth Bell..and can be purchased from Funky Kits. For this card I dug into my Basic Grey Porcelain collection that I had been hanging onto. I'm trying really hard to break that habit!

Roses on Paper Challenge blog..

Iris has put together a fabulous sketch this week over at ROP challenge blog. Soo..since I had a little extra time to play I put together this Valentine.  I discovered a cool technique while playing with my DCWV glitter paper..if you bend it around a little bit, you have the crackle effect!  I cut out the little hearts using a Sizzlit die, I then dropped some Tim Holtz distress ink on top and rubbed it into the cracks.  Its difficult to see the glitter in the photo, sorry!  But I think it gives it a vintage feel..love it!

Happy Winter...

Wow..its been awhile since I've posted! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year..mine went by in a blur. We spent a few days before Christmas in Gatlinburg with my Parents, my siblings and their family. We had a blast sitting in front of the fire and just enjoying the mountains and all the Christmas lights. The best part was getting some quality time in with my little nephew..he's the cutest thing..can't say it enough!

Now that the new year is upon us..I hope everyone is keeping to their resolutions, lol! I am going to try to create 365 crafty items during the year, one for each day of the year. I better get busy, lol! I really wanted to do the Book of Me album with a photo a day..but being that I spend ALOT of time away for work, it would be very boring photos some days..haha!

I've started with a few JATC's 3.5"x5" in a winter theme. I love these chipboard snowflakes! I've spritzed them with blue and white shimmerz spritz. I used the snowflakes as masks for the background watercolor paper. DP by Basic Grey.

Winter Hanglar card

I LOVE Hanglar images! This one came from my friend Holley (thanks Holley!) I colored this image with blues to match some paper that Lynn sent me (thanks Lynn!) what a cute little winter combination! This will go in my Winter card collection to be sent out really soon. I used Triart markers to color this image, I have found that the Triarts blend really well with copics..and i love the fine tip for small details.

Country Christmas

I love the "A Child's Year" cartridge for Cricut! The images are darling! I cut this image out and decided to try it on a card. I used kraft cardstock to give it a "Country Christmas" feel. I wanted it to be a simple card, but it needed a little something. I cut and distressed a couple circles to embellish it a little. I think it still needs more embellishing...it kills me to do clean and simple cards! Maybe I might add a verse to the front :0)

Happy Holidays!

I had great intentions of getting lots of cards made up over the weekend, but my little guy had other ideas. He came down with a stomach bug and he and I stayed up til 5am Sunday playing nurse/patient, lol! Poor little man! Of course Dad was at work, then a football game so he missed the entire "episode", ROFL!

I did manage to get a few cards made. Here is a cute little Tilda from the Yummy collection, I thought she would be really cute for a Chrismas card. I have colored her with copics..I know I still need alot of practice, lol! Some people are just naturals at using markers but not I! Im better with pencils and watercolor, its so hard for me to get the shadowing right with the copics but I will keep trying.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season thus far! We will try to put our tree up tomorrow. We've been so busy, but we did get the outside decorated early on...at least that is something! I have alot of my gifts put together for coworkers and friends, so I'm ticking down my "to do" list~slowly but surely!
hugs,T
