Fall Card fronts

Well, I've been playing catch up a little...organizing my room..cleaning..organizing some more..seems that part is never ending! But I did get something crafty done~ I stamped up these little bears playing in the leaves and made some fall card fronts for a swap coming up. The object of the card front swap is to design just the front on a piece of cardstock. I keep mine in a little deco box and when I need, say a bday card..I pull out a bday card front and adhere it to the front of a card base...easy peasy! Allie gave me this idea awhile back, I think its great! Cheaper shipping when doing swaps and takes up less room in your card storage.

more Blackboard mini book pages

One of these days I'm going to be finished with this baby..but for now I'm satisfied with doing 2 pages at a time, hee hee! Here are my 2 newest additions. Embellished with more Grafton with a Bazzill paper edge and some primas thrown in. Also used this cutey Basic Grey frame that I've been hanging on to.

Christmas in May, ROFL!!

Well, its no wonder I can't get my scraproom organized...everytime I start on one end and before I get halfway across the counter, I find something that needs immediate attention. Well, tonight I found this cute pic of Jacob at his little polar express party at school. It was stuck in with some Christmas embellishments that I was going through awhile back. Yes..its that messy! haha! So, I had this partially done page with this awesome Rhonna Christmas paper (she makes the best swirly flourishes!!) So, I finished it up tonight..better late than never I guess. hee hee! Have a wonderful holiday weekend wherever you are~ I'll be heading to my SIL's family lake house to spend with Hubby and his family tomorrow night. Can't wait for a nice relaxing time. hugs,T

EK success corner rounder

Woohooo...I'm finally getting to play with my new EK success corner rounder, I love this little thing! I saw a tutorial a while back on doing your own scallop edges. You use this little darling. All you need to do is remove the edge attachment, turn it upside down and start punching. I couldn't wait to play with it so I practiced on this card for my nephew Josh who just turned 16. Notice how nice and crisp the scallop cuts are. I'm going give it a whirl with a circle next. I know my cricut cuts scallop circles but I love the large deep scallops.

Blackboard mini album pages..

Hooray, I finally finished up two more pages in my Summer mini album. I'm going for the beach theme. I'm using papers and embellishments from the Grafton line of Scenic Route..love it!

A new Cosmo Cricket project

Ok, I have in my hands a new blackboard mini book...I love it! I love scallops, I love the black, I love the size..its just perfect! So, I started on the front page today and I've decided to use this one for a mini summer album. The large flourish stamps by Fancy Pants works great on these with a little white embossing powder.

Overlays...

I was looking through my pics and found this layout using an overlay..ya gotta love these things! I think this one is from Autumn leaves because I recognize those Rhonna flourishes..she does the best flourishes! All you do is add a couple pics..a few embellishments and you have an instant layout...perfect!

Cosmo Cricket altered clock....

Isn't it amazing how when you go to the store you start visualizing how certain things will look altered, haha! I found this round wooden clock that originally had a rooster on it..it was begging to be transformed.

Step 1: sand off rooster

Step 2: paint entire surface with sage green paint

Step 3: grunge it a little with a brown paint leaving just a little bit of the numbers showing

Step 4: use your pattern papers, die cuts, and rhinestones to add a little spunk to the background.

I used Cosmo Cricket "Fleuriste" papers and die cuts.

This little creation is going to Croppinsville USA ~ Allie needs a clock don'tcha think?!

Deanna

My Best Friend Deanna... She is just the sweetest most caring person you'll ever come across! After mentioning her in my tagged info..I wanted to share a pic. She's the red head and this is when we were in highschool..seems like eons ago! I guess it was, lol.. Man we are getting OLD!

I've been tagged

I've been tagged by my great friend Heidi over at http://luckybugcreations.blogspot.com/ Go check out Heidi's blog for some beautiful paper art pieces! OK I am supposed to come up with 7 things about me.
1. I use to be somewhat of a Tom Boy, always in the woods playing when I was young. I hated Barbie dolls!! I am so happy that I have boys so I can climb trees and play hide and go seek with them! However, I would love a little girl to doll up!
2. I have been in 7 wrecks since 17..Wow..that's ALOT!
3. I use to be very shy, HAHA..not that IS a shocker!!
4. My sign is Scorpio and it says that I am sometimes to nice for my own good and I sometimes agree with that. I tend to get myself in to some major messes by trying to be nice.
5. My secret dream is to have a photo studio..I would take baby pictures all day long!! LOVE IT!
6. I have had the same best friend since the 5th grade...thats like 22 years! Her name is Deanna and she is a Godsend! She lives a couple hours away from me now and I miss her like crazy!
7. OK..now this one is a kicker..I had a close encounter with some strange ball of light when I was younger. Thank goodness my cousin was with me because noone else on earth has really believed us, lol!

I'm not going to tag anyone because everyone that I would tag has been tagged already but here are some really great blogs to go check out:

Fashion inspired pages...

Well..I had high hopes of getting bunches done..but the robbers thought otherwise and came and ramsacked my car and took off in Shauns car with my purse and all my personal belongings in my car..so dang if they didn't take Shaun's brand new cell phone and both our XM radios..Jakes brandnew baseball equipment. Poor little guy started baseball last night and we had to run out right before practice and buy him another bat, ball, glove, pants..etc. etc... So needless to say it has been a terrible week! BUT..I did manage to get a few pages done before bad luck struck again..YIPPEE!
These are layouts done for the fashion inspired challenge..and you can see from the articles of clothing how they relate to the layouts. This was alot of fun...picking out cutesie clothes and mimicing the designs. I wish I had more time to research for more ideas.
Wish me luck in recovering my purse and vehicle! hugs,T

Man OH Man...

I'm having a really tough time with the reusable challenge..

Can't get in the groove to dig out my stamps that haven't seen the light of day in 2 years. Luckily I have a couple sets of acrylic I can use, but that really limits me in theme choices!!! So, I will not have a high page count this round for sure!

I did however manage to get my first set of
CD calendar pages done..well, only October..but I've at least got one month finished!! Yipppeee!

I've been tagged by Lindsy (http://abeanabugandabird.blogspot.com)

At the end of their blog list 7 people you are tagging. Let them know that they are tagged by leaving them a comment.
1. I have two very ACTIVE boys ages 4 and 6
2. I'm married to Shaun (8 years)
3. We spent our honeymoon in Costa Rica~ I LOVE rainforests!
4. I am a terrible scrapbook addict!
5. I've been a Respiratory Therapist for almost 10 years
